Meet the Founders
Rev. Devon Rachelle Setukara Starwell is a Shamanic Priestess, Interfaith Minister, Artist, Healer, Writer, Teacher, Activist and Mother of 3 girls, based in Los Angeles. She is a co-founder of the nonprofit organization Shaman Smith, which serves the Pagan, New Age and Interfaith communities in fostering spiritual development through the Arts. She an Elder Priestess of the Wisdom Council of the Starlit Well, a co-ed collective-path Coven providing Pagan ministry, events and community outreach; an Ally Priestess of Reclaiming LA, a Spiritual Activism organization; and travels the world as a Peace Ambassador and board member of the Patrick McCollum Foundation for Peace. She has co-produced Shaman Smith’s three Independent Activist films, including the widely popular educational documentary “The Pagan Path Volume 1: Neo-Paganism and Natural Magic,” and is currently in production for a second Pagan Path film.
Peter Valentino is a musician and filmmaker living in Hollywood, California. He is a co-founder of the nonprofit organization Shaman Smith and does this work out of a love for the Earth and for the natural elements. “Nature works based on balance and harmony. These are things that have been largely lost in our modern society. The traditional teachings will show us the way back to reunion with our planet.” Valentino’s main curiosity is on the subject of water, which he dubs, “The Master Element.” Peter hopes to add water’s flow to all his creations.
Mary Stuart has studied Metaphysics for 40+ years and has a degree in Parapsychology. She is an Ordained Minister and the Elder High Priestess of Celtic Circle of Wisdom, based in Orange County, CA. Mary also coordinates events in Orange County for various authors and teachers and has participated in Orion Foxwood’s Faery Seer Apprenticeship for several years. She is on the Board of Directors for OCLC-Covenant of the Goddess. She is a witch, a teacher, a psychic, a reader, a light worker and has long been acknowledged for her ability to generate prosperity and abundance and to help others bring prosperity into their own lives.
Throughout her life, Janine Nelson channeled a creative force whether in business, art, dance, or photography. She is a marketing and public relations professional with over 20 years building brand identity, product development, corporate communications, or managing integrated promotional campaigns. Working for Fortune 500 companies, mid-cap firms and non-profit organizations she understands the competitive force and unique vision needed today that help each enterprise stand out. Most recently, as a social media consultant, helped small and medium-sized businesses take advantage and improve their visibility using social media.
As an Elder High Priestess in one of the oldest Wiccan traditions in the United States, she continues to serve her coven and community. She also serves as the Public Information Officer on the board of the Orange County Local Council of the Covenant of the Goddess (OCLC CoG) and as Web Weaver for the National Board of the Covenant of the Goddess. Most recently, she began her apprenticeship in Orion Foxwood’s Faery Seership.
